Reservations for your Safari.
For groups of four people or more, a payment of a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00USD per person is required in order to confirm your reservation and secure your accommodations. For groups of three people or less, a payment of a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $1000.00USD per person is required in order to confirm your reservation and secure your accommodations.
The balance of the safari price is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and must be paid in U.S. dollars. All payments are to be done by wire transfer or check overnight to the office in Arusha, Tanzania Adventure Travel will also accept Visa or MasterCard for those individuals wishing to pay for their deposits and/or safaris with credits cards, however, a 4% service charge will then be added to the total cost of the safari.
Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations are only effective upon our receipt of written notification. The scale of charges, expressed as a percentage of the trip price, is as follows:
-More than 90 days prior notice to departure date – deposit forfeited
-90-60 days notice prior to departure date – 75% returned
-60-30 days notice prior to departure date – 50% returned
-30-0 days prior to departure date – 100% lost
Insurance
Your trip will be a significant investment which involves risks. Because of this we strongly urge our clients to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance plan that is valid for the entire duration of the trip. The insurance should cover you for events such as a trip cancellation, delay or interruption, lost or delayed baggage, emergency accident, illness and evacuation, 24-hour medical assistance, traveler’s assistance, and emergency cash transfer.
Included in Tour Prices
Accommodations for the safari are listed in each tour itinerary; however, and Tanzania Adventure Travel, reserves the right to provide alternative accommodations of comparable standards. The included meals are specified in each itinerary and are table d’hotel or buffet.
Prices include all entry and park fees, accommodations with meals, transport, service charges, sightseeing/game drives as specified in each individual itinerary, and services of an English speaking driver guide.
Not included in Tour prices
Fees for obtaining passport, visas, inoculations; airfare not specifically mentioned as included; excess baggage fees, trip protection coverage, international airport departure taxes, optional tours, any items of a personal nature such as beverages, laundry, phone calls, cables, or room service; excess mileage carried out at the request of the client or any other item not specifically listed in the tour section.
Complaints
In the unlikely event that a tour member should have a dispute whilst on safari, the matter must immediately be brought to the attention (and put on record) of the local representative, hotel, lodge or camp management. It is likely that the tour members’ complaint will be satisfactorily resolved immediately. If, however, this is not the case and the tour member wishes to pursue the matter on their return from safari, it is essential the complaint be communicated in writing to Tanzania Adventure Travel within 21 days at the end of the tour quoting tour reference, destination and departure, and date. Tanzania Adventure Travel, cannot accept responsibility of any complaints which are not notified entirely in accordance to this clause.
